Education
We offer a number of educational programs to the public for all age groups, we have created these programs to guide, support and educate the community on the importance of numerous areas of pet care, responsibilities of owning a pet, how to respond in emergency situations and the importance of safety around pets.
What We Offer
Pet First Aid Classes
Our Pet First Aid classes are held at the Centre and are a great way for pet parents to learn how to care for their pets in a first aid emergency situation. Learn how to react, apply first aid and transport your pet safely. Knowing pet first aid could save your pets life!
School Educational Programs
The School Educational Program is a free program that is offered to preschools, schools, day cares and community groups to talk about many aspects of pet care and our role as vets and nurses for your pet. It also gives the children a greater understanding of appropriate and safe handling of dogs and cats.
Work Experience
Here at QVCC we welcome the enthusiastic younger generation, if it be year 10 Work Experience or University Placement, we understand the importance of practical training and gaining exposure to real life events. We can see the great importance of providing our centre to those needing to gain experience within our profession to help support the next generations of our industry.
Mini Vets
Mini Vets is a fun program that enables keen young groups of children to attend our Centre and learn the basics of becoming a Veterinarian or Veterinary Nurse. These classes are super fun but also very educational and hands on for the younger generations. They are also a great idea for children’s birthday parties.
All of our programs have limited spots and fill up extremely quickly, so please, for more information or to secure your spot, contact us to find out more.
